Which Is Your Weapon Of Choice: Hub Pages Or Squidoo

The net is full of social networking blogspots and communities, but two of the best out there are Hub Pages and Squidoo. Both of these social Journal networks appear to have an excessive advantage when it comes to ranking well with the search engines. Along with Word Press, Ezine Articles, and of course Google Blogger, these two communities can get found just about instantly. The issue is not if they are successful forms of advertising but rather, which one lands the hardest punch?

Hub Pages is a community for writers, bloggers, or anybody wanting to share something fascinating with the written word. Your blogs at Hub Pages are branded as hubs. You can select from certain modules to enhance the appearance and originality of your hubs. Hub Pages allows you to include your adsense, amazon, and Ebay ID to you hubs to make revenue from anyone who clicks or purchases from your links. You can also add keywords to your hubs to make it easier for the search engines to find you.

Squidoo is also a community for writers and very comparable to Hubpages. The key difference between the two is that Squidoo refers to its pages as lens. Just like Hub Pages, you can put up unlimited lens on any theme while making additional proceeds from adsense, amazon, and Ebay.

Squidoo is very Google friendly and permits you to include up to 40 keywords to your lens to increase your search engine presence. As you can see, these two powerhouse, high pr social communities share more than a few parallel characteristics; So what are the dissimilarities?

The differences commence with the profit from your proceeds modules. Squidoo has a joint earning policy which shares the entire profit between the whole Squidoo community depending on the position of your lens. The more superior your lens rank, the larger portion of the profit you receive. Hub Pages on the other hand allows you to keep 100% of your earnings from adsense, amazon, and Ebay.

Another difference are the guidelines and policies. Hub pages is very stern on self endorsement or over promoting of affiliate products. They will prohibit you quickly if your intentions are to only provide content for the sole purpose of spamming. Squidoo also discourages spammers, but they are more welcoming to internet marketers who are interested in creating lens to promote their affiliate products or services. I guess you can say that Squidoo provides you a wider freedom of speech. Hub Pages in addition does not allow adult content.

Squidoo has recently stiffen their policies on the types of lens that they will allow. Examples of lens that use to be accepted that are no longer acceptable are: Lenses on adult content, health miracle cures, and lenses with more than 9 links to to identical site. If you can accomplish giant squid prominence (50 lenses) than these regulations may be waived.

Both Squidoo and Hub Pages offer a place for like minded people to bring their visions, ideas, products or artistic expressions to the World Wide Web. The question of which one packs the hardest punch in my judgment, can simply be left up to each individual. I personally use both. Since both communities are free to enroll and free to socialize, I find it that it makes sense not to show favoritism. The choice between one over the other would be the equivalent of leaving currency on the table.

Hub Pages and Squidoo are great websites for getting visitors and raising your search engine positioning. For more information on ranking with search engines, you can go to organic seo.
